Lady Tigers drop a pair in district

The Rockdale Lady Tigers dropped a pair of district contests to fall to 5-23 overall and 1-10 in District 24-3A with one game remaining in the season.

The Lady Tigers lost to Caldwell 24-21 on the road Tuesday night as Ivory Douglas (eight steals) and Brittany Frei (seven rebounds) each scored six points, followed by Janeene Maloy’s five points.

Trailing 18-8 heading into the final eight minutes, the Lady Tigers mounted a comeback that fell just short, outscoring Caldwell (6-20, 3-7) 13-6.

In the 70-7 loss to No. 6 Navasota (32-3, 9-2), Victoria Drake scored four points and Ivor y Douglas 3.
