Art winners chosen by Milam group

This year a new organization has been started in Milam County. It is called Leadership Milam and is made up of area leaders in Milam County.

The purpose of the program is to unite the leadership from the different towns of the county, helping all to work together.

The Februar y meeting was held at the Performing Arts Center in Cameron and one of the activities the group participated in was judging art from area high schools.

Participating were students from Buckholts, Cameron, Rockdale, and Thorndale.

Five awards were chosen by the class members with the winners being announced as:

First place— Hank Stolte from Thorndale High School.

Second— Alex Vacca from Thorndale High School.

Third—</BOLD Garza from Rockdale High School.

Four th— Christian Gonz alez from Rockdale High School.

Fifth— Corolyn Holub from Rockdale High School.

“The talent of the students in this county is phenomenal,” said Neal Bhakta, owner of Budget Host Inn and organization committee member of Leadership Milam.
