Tejas Fest has something for every interestMy fortune cookie this week read, “Mighty forces will come to your aid.”
Isn’t it nice to be reminded that we are not in this life alone? Those mighty forces come to my aid all of the time and sometimes I forget that. I stress, I worry and I forget that all is under control. And then I am reminded by something as simple as a fortune cookie.
So when you are at your wits end and think that nothing is going right just remember “Mighty forces will come to your aid.”
This is the big week for our 4th Annual Tejas Art and Book Festival. It will be a great festival and I am so excited.
We have authors in the library, artists in Wolf Park, activities at the I&GN Depot, the Car Show, activities at the Kay Theatre, food vendors, and entertainment. It will be a fun day and you will want to get out and about around Rockdale. Also that day will be Market Day at Tisket A Tasket and Antique Queens. What a great weekend.
We had several ribbon cuttings last week. Crecon’s ribbon cutting was last week, owners Nancy, Dusty and Ronnie Creek. Crecon can help you with pest control, fertilizer and lawn service. They also have a do it yourself line of products for those pesky ants, yard bugs, etc. Call them at 446-7873 or go by their location at 101 E. Bell.
We also had a ribbon cutting for B & Z Sound Pros. Call Bobby Buchanan or Zach Gallop at 512-269-3717 for recording that CD you have been meaning to make. Or to you businesses, call them and get them to make a jingle to promote your business.
Another ribbon cutting that we had was for Herbalife with Manuel Navarro. Herbalife is a product that will help with weight loss or just to get you feeling better. Call Manuel at 254-931-5865 for more information about Herbalife.
This week we have a ribbon cutting for Shawnee’s at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3. For your beauty needs call Shawnee’s at 446-7217. She takes walk in customers or you can call for appointments. Shawnee’s is located in Texas Star Plaza.
