Gause Alumni Assn. to meet Saturday

GAUSE—The Gause Schools Alumni Association will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20 at the Gause Community Center. Five committees will make reports that will impact the association’s May 29 meeting and Memorial Day celebration. All alumni urged to attend. RHS Class of 1980 sets 30th-year event

The RHS Class of 1980 will hold its 30th-year class reunion at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 12 at The Ranch. Classmates and guests are responsible for their own cost including cover charge, food and beverages.

Aycock exes reunion set here June 18-20

Aycock Alumni Association will hold its annual reunion of former students of the Aycock School in Rockdale Friday through Sunday, June 18-20, according to Darleen Douglas, spokesperson.

On Friday, June 18, the former students will hold a meet-andgreet function at the home of Preston Moultrie, 800 Metcalfe.

Saturday, June 19 will be the main event to be held in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park. This will include a Christian comedy production with special guests and performers. They include comedian Rodney Jeter of Austin and historian Hari Jones, curator of the African American Civil War Museum of Washington DC.

Other performers will be singers Uneeda Page Crowley of Temple, Elaine Williams of Dallas and Jonie Castleberry Jones of Fort Worth. The event will also feature praise dancers Denitra Lewis and Ivory Douglas.

Mistress of ceremonies will be Bobbie Nell Richards Castleberry of Fort Worth.

Former Aycock students are asked to send registration to Aycock Alumni, PO Box 1160, Rockdale TX 76567. Registration is $30 per person, $50 per couple, $10 for youth ages 12-18, and $5 for children age 5-11.
