After manhandling Madisonville, the Rockdale Tigers were doused with a cold water no-hitter as Bryan Rudder’s Will Johnson shut down the Tigers Tuesday night in a 6-2 Ranger victory in Bryan.

The Rockdale Lady Tigers kept their playoff hopes alive Tuesday night with a 6-1 victory over Bryan Rudder in Bryan.
The Lady Tigers improve to 13-11 on the season and 4-5 in District 24-3A play.
The 13 wins is an increase of one over last year’s win total.

Lady Dogs run-rule Milano, then shut out by Thrall
Area teams begin second half of district play
The second round of league play opened up for District 27A softball teams on Tuesday night and the Thorndale Lady Dogs (6-6, 4-2) suffered a shut out at the hands of Thrall and loss a their top hitter.
Also, the Milano Lady Eagles (3-12, 1-5) fell to Holland on the road 5-2 Tuesday night.
Thorndale may have lost senior catcher Brealyn Hernandez for the season with a fractured hand suffered against Thrall Tuesday. Full Story
