Five sentenced in 20th District Court
Five persons were sentenced last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Kerry Spears, who listed case dispositions as follows:
• April Dawn Grimes, 31, Temple, pleaded true to violating probation conditions on an original offense of possession of a controlled substance, one-year county jail term to run concurrent with a Bell County sentence. Full Story
Arrest made after victim raped, tased in Cameron
A 49-year-old Cameron resident was arrested Thursday in that city and charged with raping and tasing a female victim.
Raymond Brann A llison was charged with sexual assault and probation violation (possession of a controlled substance, 1 to 4 grams).
He remains in the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bond. Full Story
Police probe thefts, burglaries
Rockdale police investigated two thefts and a burglary during the past week and made one arrest.
Lt. J. D. Newlin said a computer was taken in a burglary at the office of Nelson Pest Control.
A theft at O’Rielly Auto Parts resulted in the arrest of 24-yearold Breck Stephenson of Thorndale for theft ($20 to $500), police said. Full Story
