City early voting ends Tuesday
Early voting for May 8 city elections continues weekdays through Tuesday at City Hall.
The early balloting started Monday and 51 votes were cast through 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Voters will choose a new mayor and east ward council member in contested races and will also decide a contested race between an incumbent west ward councilman and a challenger. Full Story

Commissioners finish naming roads panel
CAMERON—Milam County commissioners, meeting Monday in regular session in the county courthouse, completed appointment of a county roads committee.
Gary Morgan and Byron Wise were selected from Precinct 3 and Precinct 4 members will be Keith Fisher and Johnny Demsky.
