You know it’s got to be fun to make a kid jump for joy before 8 a.m. on a Saturday morning. That’s what the 11th annual Dewberry Jam Run did for Blake King, and about 180 other competitors as the annual event netted at least $7,000 for Alpha Tau Delta’s ongoing efforts to spruce up local parks. King was getting warmed up for one of the age bracket events in the Kids 1K run which preceded the 5K run and walk. Unlike recent Dewberry runs, which have dealt with rain, mud, fog and even street construction, this one was held under blue skies and 70-degree temperatures.
