The Tigers should take caution, Region III is known as a speed trap—on the track of course.

No team at the regional meet will enter with more credentials than Rockdale.

The Tigers racked up five straight meet wins, the last, the District 24-3A championship, the first for a Rockdale team since 2001.

“I expect our kids to do ver y well at the regional meet,” said Rockdale track coach Brent Hasselbach. They have been working very hard and they have proven all year that they will perform to the best of their abilities. It should be a great meet.”

Most of the Tigers participated in the regional qualifiers meet in McGregor to keep their skill sharp and Rockdale racked up six firsts with several personal bests.

Rockdale junior LeRaven Clark is a dual threat to earn a trip to the state track meet in the shot put and the discus.
