Services for Judith Fern Caffey, 66, of Deer Park were held Monday, May 3, 2010, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Church officiating. Burial followed in Salty Cemetery.
Mrs. Caffey died Saturday, May 1, at Pinetree Lodge Nursing Home in Pasadena. She was in the late stage of Alzheimer’s, which she had since her late 50s.
A Deer Park resident since 1973, she was born March 13, 1944, in Houston to Dutch Hutson and Gladys (Lynn) Hutson.
She married Kenneth Caffey on April 15, 1967, in Austin.
Mrs. Caffey received an education degree from Southwest Texas State University and had been a school teacher.
She was a devout Christian.
Mrs. Caf fey was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lynn Everett Hutson, on Sept. 3, 1956.
Survivors are her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Caffey of Deer Park; a son, Kerry Wayne Caffey and wife Frances of Deer Park; a daughter, Christy Lynne Earle and husband Sid of Dallas; and six grandchildren, Caleb, Taylor, Alyssa, Savannah, Madilyn and Baylis.
Pallbearers were Larry Lynn, Barry Lynn, Brad Caffey and Bubba Hoffman.
