$11,ooo raised for White on Saturday
A fund-raiser for one of Rockdale High School’s most beloved athletes ever, now fighting cancer, raised about $11,000 on Saturday.
Garry White was a key member of the 1976 Tiger state championship football team and the 1977 state track champions.
He is a 1977 RHS graduate and has been diagnosed with colon and liver cancer. Full Story

HUNTSVILLE —It came down to the tiniest of measurements for two local tracksters between them and the state track meet.
Thorndale’s Mirah Knapek and Milano’s Thomas Sanders both missed out on a trip to Austin by inches in their respective jumping events at the Class A Region IV track meet held at Bowers Stadium on the campus of Sam Houston State University. Full Story

Throwing arm injuries are on the rise in Little League and other youth baseball programs.
