WILD RIDE A mother and her child escaped serious injury at 11:41 a.m. Thursday in this onevehicle rollover on FM 487 near the Murray Cemetery northwest of Rockdale. State Trooper Ernest Delbosque said Erica Perez, 28, of Rockdale reached back to get a bottle for one-year-old Karla Perez. “When she looked back, she was in the curve, went off the road, overcorrected and flipped over,” Delbosque said. The child was in a car seat and Perez was buckled in, Delbosque said. “The baby had a bruise over an eye but it wasn’t believed to be serious,” he said. Both were checked over at Richards Memorial Hospital, Rockdale. The Chevrolet pickup was believed to be totaled, he said.
