Sunshine-n-Shadows to meet on Thursday

Sunshine-n-Shadows Quilt Guild will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, according to Eddie Davidson, spokesperson.

“We w ill continue to work on our table runners,” she said. “Visitors are always welcome.”

Smyrna Cemetery work day June 5

Smyrna Cemetery Association will hold a work day Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. until noon. Volunteers should bring lunch and tools for cemetery maintenance. For directions or additional information, call Linda Farris, 4-5-598-2488.

Sandy Creek Cemetery homecoming June 6

The annual Sandy Creek Cemetery homecoming will be held Sunday, June 6 at Sandy Creek. Registration and acceptance of contributions for cemetery maintenance will begin at 10:30 a.m.

A covered dish lunch will start at noon with a business meeting to follow. Persons unable to attend may send contributions to:

Milano Jamboree ahead Saturday

MILANO—The monthly Milano Country and Gospel Jamboree will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at the Milano Civic Center, according to Tena Galbreath, publicist.

“Admission is free and all musicians and listeners are cordially invited,” she said. Refreshments will be available.

Auxiliary selling flags with concrete base

VFW Post 6525 Ladies Auxiliary is selling U.S. f lags in a removable square concrete base, full height of 7 feet. Price is $40 per flag.

“Display your flag at any time but at least on Flag Day June 14, the Fourth of July, Veterans Day Nov. 11, Memorial Day May 30 and Patriot Day Sept. 11,” said Joyce Hurt, spokesperson.
