Smyrna Cemetery work day Saturday

Smyrna Cemetery Association will hold a work day Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. until noon. Volunteers should bring lunch and tools for cemetery maintenance. For directions or additional information, call Linda Farris, 4-5-598-2488.

Sandy Creek Cemetery homecoming Sunday

The annual Sandy Creek Cemetery homecoming will be held Sunday, June 6 at Sandy Creek. Registration and acceptance of contributions for cemetery maintenance will begin at 10:30 a.m.

A covered dish lunch will start at noon with a business meeting to follow. Persons unable to attend may send contributions to:

Auxiliary selling flags with concrete base

VFW Post 6525 Ladies Auxiliary is selling U.S. f lags in a removable square concrete base, full height of 7 feet. Price is $40 per flag.

“Display your flag at any time but at least on Flag Day June 14, the Fourth of July, Veterans Day Nov. 11, Memorial Day May 30 and Patriot Day Sept. 11,” said Joyce Hurt, spokesperson.

Rockdale Rotary Club meets at noon each Tuesday at the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park.

Noon Lions Club

Rockdale Noon Lions Club meets at noon each first and third Wednesday at the Rockdale VFD fire station, Wilcox at Bell streets.

Historical Society

Rockdale Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. each second Tuesday at the I&GN Railroad depot museum.

Rockdale 4-H Club

Rockdale Girl Scouts

Milam County MOPS

MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers) invite all mothers with children birth-kindergar ten to meet for breakfast, guest speakers, crafts and fellowship at First Baptist Church in Rockdale from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. each second Wednesday September through May.
