Ashworth awarded Bronze Star Medal

Col. Ashworth Col. Ashworth CARLISLE, PA—Col. Eric Ashworth, son-in-law of Ramona Barlow of Rockdale, was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service while assigned to the Partnership St rateg y Group – Iraq, United States Forces – Iraq.

He has served in Iraq over t he pa st year and led the development of viable plans that support a future U.S.-Iraq partnership. His work supports the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad to effort and transition critical security cooperation activities to the Department of State as U.S. forces redeploy from Iraq.

Col. Ashworth is returning to the faculty and staff of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he will be reunited with his family, including his wife, Teal Barlow Ashworth, and their three children, Kelsea, Jared and Keara.
