Wilhite Wilhite ELGIN—Funeral services for Edward Waldean “Red” Wilhite will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at Adina Christ ian Church with Pastor Tom Long officiating. Interment will follow at Adina Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Adina Christian Church.

Mr. Wilhite died Saturday, June 5, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1931 ,in Vernon to Walter Ray and Mary Etta Wilhite.

He married Margie Wood on July 23, 1952, in Ozona.

Survivors are his wife, Margie; four children, Ronna and husband Charles Parker of Milano, Danny Wilhite and wife Connie, Von Wilhite and wife Tracy and Mary Jo Bowden, all of Blue; a sister-in-law, Ima Jo and her husband Herbert Michalk of Giddings; and an aunt, Margarite Lawrence of Giddings; also, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Jimmy Kylberg, Clint Wilhite, Nathan Kylberg, Eric Wilhite, Brent Wilhite, Zach Wilhite, Lee Wolf, Aaron Wilhite and C.J. Parker.

Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Alisha Hinistroza, Jennifer Wilhite, Amy Meyer and Elizabeth Angel.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
