Richard Emert traveled from Oklahoma (the farthest) for the reunion. Glenna Keen Lynn had the most grandchildren present (7). Helen Noack Perry, 85, was the oldest family member present and Griffin Lynn, age 1, was the youngest.
Modesette reunion held
The annual Modesette reunion was held Sunday, June 6 at the Thorndale VFW Hall with 67 in attendance.
Bill Dittmar of Pasadena gave the invocation. Helen Price of Granbury presided and Joy Graham spoke on family history books.
Roland and Doris Lawson of Taylor were the oldest man and woman attending. Youngest was Jermaine Gipson of Taylor. Diane Schwarz of New Hampshire traveled the greatest distance.
“Thanks to all who helped make this a success, with setup, cleanup and getting supplies,” said Merle Culp, spokesperson.
Mack family reunion
The 2010 Ollie and Versie Mack family reunion has been scheduled for Saturday, July 31 in the Patterson Civic Center in Rockdale. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and a barbecue lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
Reunion fee is $40 per family (up to 5 members), $5 extra per family member, $10 for senior citizens and $15 for guests. Please pay in advance or fee will be collected at door.

40th Stephens reunion
The 40th annual W. F. Stephens family reunion, started in 1970 by the descendants of William Forest and Rebecca Stephens, will be held Sunday, July 11 at the New Salem Home Demonstration Clubhouse at Fair Park in Rockdale.
A covered-dish luncheon will be held with drinks and tableware provided. Attendees are asked to bring a vegetable, salad, meat and a dessert. “It would be appreciated if you would bring enough for your family and maybe a little extra in case we have visitors,” said Jesse A. Smith, publicist. “We are looking for suggestions on this year’s theme,” he said. “We will again have activities for the kids. If anyone has some fun activities they would like to sponsor, drop us a line or call.”
Attendees are also asked to bring an item or items for a silent auction.

71st LaGrone reunion
MILANO—The 71st annual LaGrone family reunion will be held Friday through Sunday, June 18-20 at the residence of Norine LaGrone.
Live music and a variety of food and games are planned during one of the longest-running family reunions in the state.
Friday is workers’ night with a Mexican dinner to be served for those who help set up, while Saturday’s ice cream social will include hot dogs. Saturday night will also feature the sixth annual LaGrone Muster ceremony.
The main reunion will begin with lunch at noon Sunday with barbecue brisket, chicken, sausage and all the trimmings and an array of side dishes and desserts.
Basketball, volleyball, softball, horseshoes and dominoes will be played. “Come and spend Father’s Day weekend with the kinfolks,” Bill Martin, publicist, said.
Class of 1941 cancels
The RHS Class of 1941 has canceled its annual reunion June 12-13 at the Kountry Inn Restaurant because of the heat, according to an announcement by Natha Lee House. The reunion will be rescheduled later, she said. Contact her at 1725 Heritage Parkway, No. 26105, Sherman TX 75092-4280.
RHS Class of 1955

RHS Class of 1960
The RHS Class of 1960 will celebrate its 50th-year reunion at the Patterson Civic Center on Sunday, June 13, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m.

The RHS Class of 1980 will hold its 30th-year class reunion at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 12 at The Ranch. Classmates and guests are responsible for their own cost including cover charge, food and beverages.

Aycock exes reunion
Aycock Alumni Association will hold its annual reunion of former students of the Aycock School in Rockdale Friday through Sunday, June 18-20, according to Darleen Douglas, spokesperson.
On Friday, June 18, the former students will hold a meet-and-greet function at the home of Preston Moultrie, 800 Metcalfe.
Saturday, June 19 will be the main event to be held in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park. A variety of entertainment is planned.

RHS Class of 1970
The RHS Class of 1970 will hold its 40th-year reunion on Saturday, July 10 at the Patterson Civic Center, according to Tom Guthrie, spokesman.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the reunion will include a meal and door prizes. “We welcome teachers and friends from other classes to come and visit,” Guthrie said.
