Kay Theater screening Thursday with ‘Black Beauty’


Downtown Rockdale’s Kay Theater now shines with bright neon and the Kay Theater Organization will continue its summer movie screenings at “dark-:15” this Thursday with the 1994 version of the classic “Black Beauty.”

The screenings are used as fund-raisers in ongoing efforts to restore the 1940s-era Quonset hut structure.

Future screenings include:
July 1—Where the Wild
Things Are
July 15—Footloose
July 29—Planet 51
Aug. 12—Where the Red
Fern Grows (2004 version)
