Police, CPS investigation leads to ‘indecency’ arrest
An investigation by Rockdale Police Lt. J. D. Newlin and Robert Hollas of Child Protective Services led to an indecency with a child arrest Monday.
Timothy Eric Salazar, 34, of Cameron was arrested by Cameron Police Chief Patrick Guffey and is being held in the county jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Cameron child recovering after being hit by vehicle
A 15-month-old Cameron girl was listed in serious condition Monday two days after she was accidentally run over by her father.
Lt. Kris Stringer of the Cameron Police Department said Lakota Shea Westfall, daughter of Randy Westfall and Jessica Nunn, was hit while Westfall was backing his 1997 Buick Century out of his driveway at 106 East Sixth in Cameron. Full Story
Two treated after wreck
Two men were treated at area hospitals after a one-vehicle rollover wreck just before midnight Monday northwest of the Rockdale city limits.
Trooper Mark Berry said a Kia sedan left FM 908, just west of County Road 302, at 11:40 p.m. and overturned.
He listed the driver as Jameson Dawes, 24, of Austin. Full Story
