Fathers honored Sunday

Anot her Vac at ion Bi ble School has come and gone at Forest Grove Christian Church.

About 40 to 50 children enjoyed each morning. Special guests for the week were L. V. and Susan Spencer who represented Central India Christian Mission and Alyssa Shiro who was the music instructor.

Our thanks to Lisa Navarre for a job well done as director. About $1,500.00 was raised to help the India Mission.

Taking the honors at morning worship on Father’s Day were Marvin Sides, the oldest father present and Ryan Priem, the youngest father present.

Congratulations to these and all the fathers who attended morning worship.

Spending Father’s Day with Woody and Mary Beth Burgess were Stanley, Theresa and Huston Burgess; Meagan and Hunter Brantley all of Milano.

Micky and Robin Exner have had an enjoyable week w ith granddaughter Addison Priem.

Addison got to spend the week w ith “Granny and Grandad” while her parents, Ryan and Ashley Priem enjoyed a vacation cruise.

We would like to invite anyone interested to make your plans to enjoy July 4th with the Forest Grove church family.

The day will begin with the usual Sunday School and morning worship followed by an All- American lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs and an afternoon filled with games, lots of fellowship and celebration of our great United States of America.

Enjoying the weekend with Doris Havard and the Fiedler families were Ken, Lynn, Morgan and Amber Havard of Keller.

Marty and Stacy Lucas, Samantha and Jacob; Josh and Jared Skrhak have returned from a week of camp at Mt. Zion Christian Mission near Boerne.

Otto and Thana Kemper of Brenham enjoyed the weekend with Pete Keen.

Hollins and Denyce Spence traveled to Dallas to visit their son Dallas. Hollins and Denyce also visited with Tanner Light.

Jerr y and Lanna Caldwell enjoyed having their family over on Friday evening.

Enjoy ing the evening w ith the Caldwells were Laura Light; Cody, Zena, Christian and Tyler Caldwell all of Rockdale; Chris, Arielle, Jaden and Austin Caldwell.

Claude and Lanell Spence traveled to Bryan this week to be with Lexie Wheaton who underwent foot surgery in a Bryan hospital. We wish for Lexie a complete and speedy recovery.

Visiting Claude and Lanell on Father’s Day were Lange, Debbie and Blake Spence of Salado; Nora Light of Cameron; Candace Light of Dallas.

Kaylie Kyle has returned from Rudder High School cheer camp at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Spending Father’s Day with Rod and Lu Spence were Gary, Marcie and Zach Spence of College Station; John, Lauren and Bella Bruchez of Georgetown; Glen Spence of Rockdale.
