Memorial services for A. Tim Stewart Sr., 80, of Milano will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Margaret Clemings, chaplain with VistaCare Hospice, officiating. His body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends at Milano Civic Center immediately after the service.

Mr. Stewart died Friday, June 18, at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

He was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Elijah, New Mexico to Levi Dewey and Leila Mae Moore (Schrader) Stewart.

Mr. Stewart lived in Milano the past 34 years and was formerly of Houston.

He married Mary Alice Lester on Sept. 18, 1954, in Lubbock.

Mr. Stewart served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 and was a member of the Baptist Church.

He worked in the oil fields and as a paint contractor in Houston.

Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Doug, Buddy and Charles Stewart; and two sisters, Gloria Mae Garton and Pearl “Sister” Stout.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Stewart of Milano; a son, A. Tim Stewart Jr. and wife Molly of Milano; two daughters, Debra Wade and husband David of Lancaster, Kim Stewart of Milano; three brothers, L.D. Stewart and w ife Donna of Canyon Lake, Jimmy Stewart of Milano, Robbie Stewart of Canyon Lake; two sisters, Shirley Daley of San Francisco, California, Billie Freeland and husband Herbie of Aurora, Colorado; and 10 grandchildren, Michelle Soto of Houston, Kayla Wade of Lancaster, Jessica Baldree of Blooming Grove, Cassie Wade of Houston, A. Tim Stewart, III of Round Rock, Monica Stewart of Cameron, Lycrecia Juarez of Killeen, Amanda Juarez of Rockdale, Amy Juarez of Troy, Alex Juarez of Milano; also, 13 great-grandchildren.
