Ware, Jordan named Class A All-State

Jordan Jordan Thorndale’s Josh Ware and Tyler Jordan were named to the Texas High School Association’s Class A All-State baseball team.

Ware, also a defensive standout as the Bulldogs’ centerfielder, was named to the second team after batting .352 on the season and was Thorndale’s biggest threat to steal as the leadoff hitter.

Ware was also named to the all-state tournament team as the Bulldogs made their fifth trip to the state tournament in the past six years and wound up 24-12 on the season.

Jordan was a tough-as-nails catcher that also provided Thorndale with its power supply, hitting .359 for the season and was picked for the third team.

The 6-foot-1, 250-pounder was a second team selection in 2009.

Granger shortstop Dylan Barbieux— the District 26A most valuable player–was selected for the second team.
