Hearn was the leader over Scitern by two strokes after the first two rounds.

A few of the past winners of this tournament include PGA players Rick Massengale, Mark Hayes, Tom Jones, Tom Kite, Ben Crenshaw, Danney Briggs, Scott Verplank, Mark Brooks and Bob Estes.

Rockdale hosting junior girls softball tourney

The Rockdale Girls Softball Complex will be the site of a district junior division tournament, July 5-9.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for 18 and under. Game times are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Rockdale league representatives are the Rockdale Bandits and the Lexington Eagles.

In other softball action:

Freshman division in Belton— Rockdale league representatives are the Lexington Eagles and Rockdale Chaos.

Midget division in Jarrell—Rockdale league representatives are the Milano Junction Girls and Rockdale Battlekatz.

Coach-pitch in Rogers—Rockdale league had an American and a National division because of so many teams, meaning they are able to send four teams to the district tournament.

From Rockdale’s American League, representatives are Rockdale Bevos and Thorndale Little Lady Dogs. From Rockdale’s National League, representatives are Lexington Batty Bratz and Rockdale Bluebonnets.

T-Ball Division in Holland—

Rockdale league representatives are Rockdale Blazin’ Angelz and Rockdale Glitter Hitters.
