Caffey

Services for Brian Caffey, 44, of Rockdale will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral in Rockdale with Rev. Doug Springer officiating. Burial will be in Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Mr. Caffey died Sunday, July 4, at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

He was born July 14, 1965, in Taylor.

He married Ginger Rodgers on Jan. 6, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Caffey had been a Rockdale resident for the past seven years, moving here from Austin.

He was a former employee at Dell Computers where he was a computer component salesman working overseas and in Austin.

Mr. Caffey was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, C.N. and Nealie Caffey, and his stepmother, Pat Rasco.

Survivors are his wife, Ginger Caffey of Rockdale; a son, Tyler Caraway of Copperas Cove; his father, Billy Caffey of Rockdale; a brother, Dillon Caffey of Rockdale; his grandmother, Ruby Stark of Austin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tommy and Katie Hruska, Devin and Patrica Ryan, all of Caldwell, Nancy Alford and Patsy Rodgers, both of Rockdale; his mother-in-law, Louis Colbert of Rockdale; and two stepchildren, Krystal Burnstien and Curtis Barnett II, both of Caldwell; also, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
