More drug arrests by DPS, sheriff’s deputies in Milam

For the second straight week, Milam County DPS troopers and sheriff’s deputies were busy with drug arrests.

Arrests included:

• Dwain Edward Cartwright Jr., 30, Lampasas, possession of a controlled substance (3 to 28 grams), driving while license invalid, released on $4,000 bond, arrested by Trooper Erik Gaston.

• Chad Alexander Shuford, 35, Dallas, possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces), released on $1,500 bond, arrested by Trooper David Yarbrough.

• James Ward Timmerman, 35, Rockdale, possession of marijuana (less than two ounces) in a drug-free zone, probation violation (motion to revoke/forgery of a financial institution), two counts, in custody on $2,000 bond, arrested by Deputy Chris White.

• Raymundo R. Salazar, 27, Giddings, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (1 to 400 grams), driving while license invalid, miscellaneous traffic offenses, in custody.

Bees

Deputies were called to assist at two bee removal situations during the week, Saturday evening at a County Road 114 location and Saturday morning on County Road 215.
