One treated after accident

One person was treated at an area hospital after a one-vehicle accident near Thorndale last Tuesday, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Franklin Sowers, 52, of Thorndale, was taken to Johns Community Hospital in Taylor, following the 10:15 p.m. crash, according to DPS State Trooper Ernest DelBosque.

DelBosque listed the location as south of Thorndale on FM 486.

DelBosque said vehicle damages were termed “extensive.

DelBosque was also called to a one vehicle crash in southeast Milam County earlier on the same day.

He said a 5:30 p.m. accident om County Road 358 south of Gause involved a vehicle operated by Gina Hernandez, 20, of Gause.

There were no injuries, according to the DPS, and vehicle damage was termed moderate.

Trooper Mark Berry investigated a one-vehicle accident near “The Crossroads” east of Sharp on Sunday.

He said a vehicle operated by Alvino Alvarez, 26, of Cameron, hit a cow on FM 486, just north of the intersection with Farm- Market 487.

Time was listed as 1:30 a.m., by the DPS.

DelBosque said there were no injuries and termed vehicle damages as “moderate.”
