Busy time for Gause 4-H Club members, leader
The youngsters in town had the opportunity to go to Vacation Bible School in the morning or the evening or both this week. The Full Gospel Church had their VBS in the mornings until noon and the Baptists held their VBS in the evenings. At 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, the Full Gospel Church will have time for parents and friends to come by their VBS program and then at 6 p.m. Full Story
Revival, reunions ahead

Summertime has indeed arr ived and time to get ready for the annual Forest Grove Revival to be held July 26 thru Aug. 1. Bro. Brandon Shafer of Albuquerque, NM will be the evangelist for this year.

‘Battle of the Bell’ shirts have shorter order time
Shirts for this year’s Battle of the Bell football game, highlight of the longtime Rockdale-Cameron rivalry, are now on sale. There’s just one problem, the game is the second week of this year’s season so orders need to be turned in as soon as possible, according to Robin Galbreath, senior parent and spokesperson for the Project Graduation shirt committee. Concert raises over $3,000 for church
Rising Star Baptist Church’s Workshop Choir held its second “Gospel Explosion” Saturday at the Institute for Teaching God’s Word, drawing a crowd of 200 and raising more than $3,000 for the church’s building program.
The new church is going up at the end of Texas Street, across the street from the current sanctuary. Full Story
