Masek earns law school jurisprudence doctorate

Julie Anne Burns Masek graduated with her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas School of Law in Houston on May 22. While completing her law education and degree Masek was active in other professional areas. She served the STCL Oil & Gas Society, Environmental Law Society and Christian Legal Society.

Masek competed in the Mock Trial Academy and Varsity Elite Competition, Mock Trial Class and Competition (where she received the speaker award).

Her most cherished recognition was receiving the “Dickerson- Moore Humanitar ian Award 2009-2010,” given to the one student who most exemplifies “giving to others”. She is currently employed at the State of Texas General Land Office in Austin.

Grayson earns UNT bachelor’s degree

DENTON–Marcus D. Grayson of Rockdale received his degree from the University of North Texas during spring commencement ceremonies held in May.

Grayson earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.

Irwin named to list at Howard Payne

BROWNWOOD–Brandon Irwin of Thorndale was named to the Dean’s List at Howard Payne University for the spring 2010 semester.

Students must earn a 3.65-3.99 grade point average to be named to the Dean’s List.

Milano Rah-Rah Camp

MILANO–Milano High School cheerle ader s have set t hei r annual Rah-Rah camp for July 15-16 at the MHS gymnasium, sponsor Laci Youree said. The camp, for ages four to 11, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day. For more information, contact Youree, 979-209-4588, lyouree@milanoisd.net.
