Ramos

GIDDI NGS —F u nera l services for Daniel Ramos, 72, of Giddings, formerly of Rockdale, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Jim Olnhausen officiating. Burial will follow in Giddings City Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ramos died Monday, July 12, at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.

He was born April 20, 1938, in Rockdale to Manuel and Delores (Valdez) Ramos.

He married Mary Basquez on July 13, 1963, in Rockdale.

Mr. Ramos was retired from Union Pacific Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Delores Ramos; a son, Arthur Ramos; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ramos of Giddings; four children, Daniel and Kathy Ramos of Manor, Nick and Beverly Ramos, Rosie and Ernest Becerra and Phillip Ramos, all of Giddings; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Ramos, Jared Becker, Jessica Ramos, Christina Becerra, Fabian Becerra, Phillip Ramos Jr., Tobias Ramos and Gabriel “Gordo” Ramos, all of Giddings; a greatgranddaughter, Maya Ramos of Giddings; and a brother, Manuel Ramos of Rockdale; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
