Hottest day of the year greets 95 Big Blue players
Miller pleased with conditioning of players: ‘All-in-all it was a great first day.’
Rockdale head coach Jeff Miller welcomed 95 players to the first round of practices bright and early Monday morning and that number is larger than last season’s turnout of 90.
Miller had 40 freshman turn up, which is the highest total in his five years here.
“It was a lot of fun to walk down the line and see a lot of fresh new faces,” he said. Full Story

Kerbow and Miller will take over track duties
Coaching consistency has been a blessing for the Rockdale football program in Jeff Miller’s five-year tenure here.
But in 2010, Miller had to replace some veteran coaches that have moved on and some at the last minute which can leave a potential employer scrambling.
Miller is replacing Brent Hasselbach, Earl Gandy, David Smiley, Walt Mangan and Kristen Gunter. Full Story

Gause soccer league registration on tap
The Gause soccer league will be holding registration on Aug. 23, Aug. 26 and Aug. 31 at the Gause school cafeteria from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The cost is $40 per child for ages 4 through 9. Older players ages 9 through 12 will be playing in the Bryan league where the cost will be $60.
It is open to all students in Gause, Milano, Mumford, Hearne and Calvert. Full Story
