A proposal to provide city water and sewer service to the new Associated Training Services (ATS) facility north of Rockdale died for lack of a second at Monday’s city council meeting.

Rockdale ISD misses federal mark for third straight year
It’s become an annual summertime ritual. The Rockdale ISD gets good news from the Texas Education Agency, followed a week later by not quite so good news from federal education accountability standards.
For the third straight year the district failed to meet the Adequate Yearly Performance (AYP) standards, as measured under the No Child Left Behind program. Full Story

In his second season as Rockdale’s volleyball coach, Jason Williams was presented with a surprise gift on the first day of volleyball practice earlier this month.
No less than 46 girls showed up to infuse the program with some new blood and with the Lady Tigers program if full blown rebuilding mode, the timing was perfect. Full Story
