ENGAGED—Darrell and Becky Plagens of Brenham announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sarah Ann Plagens, to David Lee Doelitsch Jr., the son of David and Rola Doelitsch of Brenham. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harvey and Floya Ann Merten of Brenham and the late Bill and Gloria Plagens. She is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University and is employed by Brenham Independent School District as a pre-kindergarten teacher. The prospective groom is the grandson of Otto and Lazelle Brogger and George and Nell Doelitsch, all of Rockdale, and the late Roland Haining and Margaret Haining Brogger. He is a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University and is currently pursing his masters degree in environmental health. He is employed by the City of Brenham as a code enforcement officer. A Sept 25 wedding is planned at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.
