Hammerton-Rozell double-ring ceremony held in New Braunfels

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thomas Rozell Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thomas Rozell NEW BRAUNFELS—Lauren Michelle Hammerton and Neil Thomas Rozell were married on June 12, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels. Rev. Keith Wyatt officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Sheila Farrar of Houston and the granddaughter of Bobby and Jeffie Roberts of Robert Lee, Bernice Hammerton of San Angelo and the late Bruce Hammerton.

The groom is the son of Mike and Stephanie Rozell of Thorndale and the grandson of Monroe and Charlotte Jungmann of Rockdale and the late Minuard and Doris Rozell.

Given in marr iage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta strapless gown with a ruched mermaid style skirt. It was accented with a pink sash tied with her great grandmother’s antique brooch. She carried a bouquet of assorted pink hydrangeas, roses and calla lilies.

The bride’s attendants wore knee-length dresses in clover green with a pink sash. They carried bouquets of assorted pink hydrangeas and roses.

Serving as matron of honor was her sister, Crystal Stanford, and friend Mandy Bergeron was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were her cousin, Kacee Roberts, Lexie Koenig, Catherine Cowart and Tierney Soergel, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Halle Rozell.

Michael Rubio, friend of the groom, ser ved as best man. Groomsmen were Phillip Rozell, brother of the groom, Bobby Hughes, Russ Lockwood, Matt Priest and Eric Ullrich, all friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Brayden Rozell and Bryce McElroy. Ushers were the bride’s brother-in-law, Ryan Stanford, her cousin, James Roberts, Bryan Carethers and Paul Lopez, friends of the groom.

A reception was held afterward at Elk’s Lodge in New Braunfels. Members of the house party were Anna Koenig, Melissa Ferguson, Paige Street, Debbie Cooper, Lou Ann Rubio and Janet Svrcek.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Adobe CafĂ© in New Braunfels. The couple was honored with several showers in the Houston area.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Klein Forest High School. She graduated from Texas State University in 2009 with a degree in finance. She is currently employed with Ann Sullivan CPA in Canyon Lake.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Rockdale High School. He graduated from Texas State University in 2007 with a degree in marketing. He is currently employed with the University of Phoenix in San Antonio.

After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in New Braunfels.
