FINE TUNING

Representatives of five Texas groundwater conservation districts (GCD) gathered in the Milano Civic Center last Wednesday for a Groundwater Management Area 12 session. Main order of business was to adjust several desired future condition (DFC) numbers for aquifers. From left are: David van Dresar, Fayette County GCD; Wayne Wilson, Brazos Valley GCD; Nathan Ausley, Post Oak-Savannah GCD; Joe Cooper, Lost Pines GCD; David Bailey, Mid-East Texas GCD; Gary Westbrook, Post Oak-Savannah GCD general manager. Steve Box, executive director of Environmental Stewardship asked the group to add DFC language addressing the relationship between the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer and the Colorado River.
