Showing a fight for survival, the Rockdale Lady Tigers fought back not once, but twice to record their first victory of the young season.

Tiger fans come through again for booster club
Tiger football fans showed their appreciation again as $5,275 was raised at the 10th annual Meet The Tigers cake auction Monday night at Tiger Gymnasium.
The total sur passes last year’s take of $4,795.
It brings the total to over $41,000 that has been raised in the decade history of the auction.
John Fisher donated his services and auctioned off 50 items. Full Story

Gause soccer league
registration on tap
GAUSE—The Gause soccer league will be holding registration on Aug. 23, Aug. 26 and Aug. 31 at the Gause school cafeteria from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The cost is $40 per child for ages 4 through 9. Older players ages 9 through 12 will be playing in the Bryan league where the cost will be $60. Full Story

Milano spikers rip off 7-1 record in early going
The Milano Lady Eagles are getting off to a nice start in the young 2010 season as they have lost just one match in their first week of play.
The team won consolation in the “championship bracket” of the Cameron tournament over the weekend and snagged a road win on Tuesday night by taking care of Academy.

Homecoming game moved, Exes’ lunch still Oct. 23
Due to scheduling conflicts, Mi la no’s home c om i ng football game and annual Exes Reunion will be on separate weekends. The football game is now set for Friday, Sept. 10 and will include the crowning of the 2010 MHS homecoming queen. However, the Ex-Students Association will hold its annual reunion and luncheon on the originally scheduled date of Saturday, Oct. 23. Full Story
