Werner

Graveside services for Iris H. Werner, 97, of Palestine, formerly of The Woodlands, were held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Chuck Bratt of First United Methodist Church in Cameron officiating.

Mrs. Werner died Monday, Aug. 23, in Cartmell Home for Aged in Palestine.

She was born April 12, 1913, in Rockdale to James Clifford and Mar y Et ta (Thor nburg) Hamil.

Mrs. Werner was an assistant steel buyer for Peden Iron & Steel Co. in Houston for 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo John Werner.

Sur v ivors are a daughter, Nancy Lamberth of Palestine; t hree g ra ndchi ld ren, K a ren Gail and Daniel Hale, Mark and Wanda Lamberth, all of Spring, Andrew Lamberth of Conroe; and four great-grandchildren, Keith Lamberth, Kristin Wisnowski McKinnon and husband Steven McKinnon, all of Spring, Clinton Lamberth and Dustin Wisnowski, both of Austin.
