Sanchez

CAMERON—Funeral services for Onesimo M. Sanchez, 84, of Cameron will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the pavilion in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Rosary was scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Sanchez died Sunday, Aug. 29, in a Temple hospital following an illness.

He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Corpus Christi to Genaro and Ester Medina Sanchez.

Mr. Sanchez was a retired laborer for the county.

He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, Dominga Sanchez.

Survivors include five sons, Onesimo Sanchez Jr. of Cameron, David Sanchez of Frisco, Raul Rodriguez of Austin, Cresencio Rodriguez of Houston, Daniel Rodriguez of Amarillo; six daughters, Dominga Castillo of Buckholts, Lydia Cervantes and Mary Ann Alvarado, both of Cameron, Diana Aguilar Diaz of Temple, Magdalena Valdez of Abernathy, Mary Helen Heath of Phoenix City, Alabama; four brothers, Remigio Sanchez, Lucas Sanchez, Juan Sanchez and Isidoro Sanchez, all of Corpus Christi; and four sisters, Ofelia Sanchez of Houston, Olivia Sanchez of Dallas, Elida Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Juanita Cisneros of Dumas; also, 46 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
