What division either school is in matters little in river rivalry
In storied rivalries such as one which the history Rockdale and Cameron have produced, intangibles such as ranking or classification has little bearing on the psyche of the players on either team.
A prime example is the legendary 1975 contest (see column at left) which is considered the greatest game in the 83-game series. Full Story

Junior running back smashes rushing mark
While Rockdale is still trying to find its footing in the inception of this new season, Daniel Brooks is proving his footwork can really take him to far away places.
The junior running back obliterated the school record for rushing yards in a game by piling up 300 in leading Big Blue to a 38-20 victory over Salado at Tiger Field Friday night. Full Story
1975 instant classic still worthy of discussion
The last time Rockdale and Cameron butted heads and weren’t pinned up in the same corral was in 1975.
Coincidently, Friday night will mark the 35th anniversary of the 1975 donnybrook between Rockdale and Cameron which is considered the greatest game in the series— Battle of the Bell or no. Full Story
Lady Tigers split up opponents
Rockdale’s varsity girls took a marathon match from Austin LBJ on Tuesday night 25-12, 25-13, 21-25, 16-25, 15-5 at Tiger Gym.
Senior Krista Phillips led the team in kills and blocks with four each. Katie Strelsky had seven assists and Morgan Fisher served up five aces. Full Story
