‘Lock cars,’ police warn area residents
Police are warning Rockdale residents, especially those in the northwest part of town to “lock their vehicles” after two car burglaries Tuesday morning.
“A stereo and a briefcase containing cash were taken from vehicles parked on O’Kelley and Sager,” Lt. J. D. Newlin said. “In each case the vehicle was unlocked.” Full Story

Deputies probe copper wire thefts near Gause
Milam County Sheriff’s deputies were called to two reports of stolen copper wire in the Gause area last week.
Deputy Paul Benton answered a report of stolen wire on County Road 347 Loop on Sept. 14.
Six minutes later, Deputy Jay Beathard was called to another report of missing copper wire on County Road 357. Full Story

Yield to pedestrians at school crosswalks
Rockdale police are reminding drivers around Rockdale Elementary School, especially on Bowser Street, to yield to pedestrians at marked crosswalks.
