Rockdale man draws drug charge from Aug. 31st county-wide sting

A 47-year-old Rockdale man, wanted since Aug. 31 on drug charges, was arrested last week on a Milam County warrant.

Timmie Ward was arrested by Ofc. Steven Cooper of the Rockdale Police Department on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance (less than one gram).

He had been named as part of an undercover drug sting which culminated Aug. 31 with 11 arrests in Rockdale and Cameron.

Ward was released after posting $20,000 bond.

ARRESTS— Adam Salazar, 47, of Cameron remains in the county jail in lieu of $75,000 bond after he was arrested by Cameron police and charged with aggravated assault.

In another Cameron police case, Verdell Wells, 34, of Cameron, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Monday and remained in the county jail at presstime.
