County Farm Bureau sets annual meeting

CAMERON–Members of the Milam County Farm Bureau will join together Tuesday, Oct. 19 for its 2010 annual meeting.

The meeting will be held at the county office in Cameron beginning at 7 p.m. No meal will be served.

“This is an opportunity for members to gather and map a course for agriculture in Milam County for the coming year,” said Milam CFB president Jay Beckhusen. “Not only will we adopt policies to guide our organization in 2011, we will elect officers and directors to lead our efforts in representing our industry.”

Voting delegates will also be selected to represent Milam County Farm Bureau at the state convention to be held in Waco Dec. 4-6.

The policy development committee is currently accepting suggestions for resolutions. Members are encouraged to submit their thoughts.

All recommendations will be considered in drafting tentative resolutions to be voted on at the annual meeting.
