50th Minerva School homecoming set Oct. 3
The 50th annual Minerva School homecoming will take place on Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Minerva Community Center, 378 CR 232 Loop. A covered dish lunch will be served shortly after noon, following a Minerva Cemetery Assn. update.
At 2 p.m. a dedication of the fully restored gas pump that sat for many years in front of the Willard and Ruth Cone home will be held. This pump, a fixture in the Minerva community for many years, now sits in front of the Minerva Center.
“Bring family and friends and enjoy a day of visiting, memories, and good food while celebrating the 50th homecoming and the gas pump dedication,” said Deborah Dean, publicist.

Diver-Hairston reunion set Sunday in Milano
The annual Diver-Hairston Reunion will be held Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Milano Civic Center. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and a covered dish lunch will start at 12:30.
This will be the 65th reunion for the Divers who have met on the first Sunday in October since 1946. The Hairstons met on the last Sunday in July since the late 1940’s. They were combined in 2003 and continue to meet on the first Sunday in October.
Noack reunion Sunday
The 44th annual reunion of the descendents of Johann Noack, Jakob Noack and Maria Noack Schulze will be held Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church picnic grounds at Warda.
Coffee and cake will be served at 10:30 a.m., said Evelyn Kasper, secretary. “Attendees should bring family members, covered dishes to share at lunch, photos and memories,” she said. Bread, tea, coffee, cups, plates and utensils will be provided.

Rockdale High School Class of 2005 will hold a 5th-year reunion Saturday, Oct. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Julio’s Mexican Food Restaurant, 1533 W. Cameron in Rockdale.

Milano Exes’ reunion
MILANO—The annual Milano Ex-Students Association reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the MHS cafetorium. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the noon barbecue meal will be catered by The Crossing, at $10 per plate.
The Association is again taking donations for a silent auction. Items can be brought the morning of the reunion. Proceeds go for mailing costs and scholarships. Items are also needed for a live auction.
MHS Class of 1957
MILANO—The Milano High School Class of 1957 will hold a reunion Saturday, Oct. 23 in conjunction with the Milano Ex- Students Association annual homecoming, according to Robert O’Neal of Mason, class member.
The class reunion will be held at 2 p.m. in the new high school library following the Milano Ex-Students Association meeting.

A reunion is planned by the grandchildren and great- grandchildren of Elmore and Beatrice Lee Johnson.
