Parole violation call leads police to drug arrest
A call for police to pick up a parole violator Sunday led to a drug arrest.
Lt. J. D. Newlin said police went to pick up 18-year-old Dylon Caffey on a parole violation warrant and also arrested 61-yearold Lewis Allen Thompson on several offenses, including two drug charges. Full Story

Deputies charge three with drug offenses
Several persons were arrested for drug offenses in addition to the raid in Rockdale Friday afternoon which resulted in charges being filed against a suspected drug dealer. (See page 1A).
• Anne Kathryn Baumer, 39, of Cameron was charged with possession of a controlled substance (3 to 28 grams) Sept. 28. She remains in the county jail in lieu of $3,000 bond. Full Story

Three-year sentence handed down after ‘guilty’ burglary plea
A 49-year-old Thorndale man drew a three-year prison sentence last week in 20th District Court after pleading guilty in connection with a burglary-chase incident in rural Milam County last spring.
Lonny Arthur Green pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and drew the sentence from District Judge Ed Magre. Full Story
Seventeen indicted by Milam Grand Jury
Seventeen persons were indicted Thursday by a Milam County Grand Jury that also returned one no-bill.
Prosecutor Kerry Spears listed grand jury action as follows:
• Christopher Michael Garcia, 33, Rockdale, theft ($1,500 to $20,000).
• Daniel Way ne Tovar, 27, Rockdale, theft ($1,500 to $20,000), burglary of a building. Full Story
