Family ties boost Lions win
With the first four teams separated by just two shots, a team led by the father-son duo of Eddie and Waylon Boyd walked away with the hotly contested championship at the 20th annual Rockdale Noon Lions Club Golf Tourna- ment.
The Boyds, along with Mark Michalka and Lisa Coelho, fired in a nineunder par 62 to take the first place prize.
They held off three teams that were within two shots of first place.
The tournament raised approximately $2,500 for college scholarships for local youth.
