Reporter/ Cliff Dungan The Rockdale Lady Tigers were overwhelmed by No. 6 ranked LaGrange in straight sets Tuesday night on the road in District 23-3A action.

The Lady Tigers were swept 25-6, 25-10, 25-8.

Kathryn Dodd led Rockdale with three assists, while Jill Young pounded out two kills and Victoria Drake slammed a kill.

The Junior varsity fell 25-9, 25-19, while the freshmen also lost 25-4, 25-10.

The Lady Tigers fell to Giddings Friday 25-14, 25-10, 25-16.

Krista Phillips sparked Rockdale by rounding up seven digs and three kills.

Dodd chipped in two blocks and two kills, while Young had two blocks, Lisa Vest two blocks and Hailey Offield and Marissa Mireles one ace apiece.

The junior varsity lost 25-14, 25-19 and the freshmen fell 25- 18, 25-14.

The Lady Tigers drop to 6-19 on the season and 0-4 in district play.

Rockdale hosts Navasota and then Caldwell to beging the second half of district play in hopes of scratching out thet first league victory.

Navasota is winless in district play and is coming off a loss to previously ranked Caldwell (21- 12, 2-2) in straight sets.

In junior high action against Navasota, 8A won 25-15, 25- 19—Ikeria Green served 5 pts, Charlise Mueller served 6 pts, Sloan Springfield served 6 pts.

8B won 25-11, 25-15—Victoria Cardona served 13 pts, Alexis Green served 7 pts.

7A lost 16-25, 27-25, 18-25— Dakota Eubanks served 3 pts, Sadie Springfield served 4 pts, Dejhoria Davis served 4 pts.

7B lost 25-20, 25-18—Makayla Rameriez served 6 pts.
