Sansom-Burrough vows pledged at First Baptist

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lance Burrough Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lance Burrough Jennifer Alyssa Sansom and Michael Lance Burrough were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Rockdale.

Minister Luther Shelander officiated along with Lenton Speer, grandfather of the groom, over the double-ring ceremony. Judy Shelander of Rockdale was the pianist.

The bride is the daughter of Retired Senior Chief and Mrs. James Alan Sansom of Austin. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Sansom Jr. of Liberty Hill, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emeterio Jalem of the Philippines.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Burrough of Rockdale. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burrough Jr. of Rockdale and Mr. and Mrs. Lenton Speer of Marquez.

Michelle Lehmkuhl, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included friends of the bride, Holly Platt, Jessica Pipkin and Kristine Zbranek, along with junior bridesmaid, Hannah Lehmkuhl, niece of the groom.

Landry Nolen was the flowergirl and Parker Burrough, son of the bride and groom, was the ring bearer.

Lauren Acton was the bride’s attendant.

Jason Nolen of New Braunfels, friend of the groom, served as best man. Clint Briggs, friend of the groom, Matt Lehmkuhl, brother-in-law of the groom, and James E. Sansom, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen. Tyler Lehmkuhl, nephew of the groom, was the junior groomsman.

Serving as ushers were the groom’s cousins, Casey Burrough, Josh Gerren and Ben Speer, along with Jimmy Birkhead, friend of the groom.

Follow ing the wedding, a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the George H. Patterson Civic Center in Rockdale.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the New Oriental Kitchen in Rockdale.

A bridal luncheon was given on Sept. 23 by the bride’s grandmother, Faye Sansom; aunt, Dalphene Bruton; and cousins, Deborah Stephens and Karla Smith, at the San Gabriel House Bed and Breakfast Inn in Georgetown.

The bride is a graduate of Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Washington. She attended Austin Community College and is employed by Seton Hospital in Kyle.

The groom is a graduate of Rockdale High School, and attended Blinn College. He trained at the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin and is employed by Seton Hospital in Kyle.

After a week-long honeymoon in San Antonio, the couple will reside in Austin with their son, Parker.
