Rangel

CAMERON—Funeral services for Juan Rangel, 68, of Cameron were held Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin offi- ciating. Burial followed in Hernandez Cemetery.

Rosary was recited on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Rangel died Wednesday, Oct. 6, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1942, in Robstown to Ines and Cecilia Borgas Rangel.

He had worked for the City of Cameron.

Mr. Rangel was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Manuel.

Survivors include: his wife, Juanita Rangel of Cameron; five sons, Ines Rangel, Juan Rangel Jr., Rudy Rangel and Randy Rangel, all of Cameron, Gabriel Rangel of Cumberland, Maryland; three daughters, Olga Rodriguez and Rache Canizales, both of Cameron, Dora Rangel of Okeene, Oklahoma; a brother, Matilde Rangel of Cameron; and a sister, Julia Vargas of Cameron; also, 28 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
