Milano Exes’ reunion coming up October 23
MILANO—The annual Milano Ex-Students Association reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the MHS cafetorium. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the noon barbecue meal will be catered by The Crossing, at $10 per plate.
The Association is again taking donations for a silent auction. Items can be brought the morning of the reunion. Proceeds go for mailing costs and scholarships. Items are also needed for a live auction.
MHS Class of 1957
MILANO—The Milano High School Class of 1957 will hold a reunion Saturday, Oct. 23 in conjunction w ith the Milano Ex-Students Association annual homecoming, according to Robert O’Neal of Mason, class member.
The class reunion will be held at 2 p.m. in the new high school library following the Milano Ex- Students Association meeting.

MHS classes of 1995-97
Milano High School classes of 1995, 1996 and 1997 will hold a joint class reunion on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Milano Elementary cafeteria, spokesperson Marie Lagrone Bakken said. A covered dish meal will be held at noon. Attendees are asked to bring old photos to share.

THOR NDA LE—The annual meeting of the R.M. Beard and Lillie Caffey descendents was held Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Senior Citizens Center in Thorndale. The morning was spent visiting and reminiscing and at noon a covered-dish meal was served. A short business meeting followed the meal. Attendance totaled 34.
Of the eight remaining grandchildren, four attended: Agnes Wilder Bennett from Haines, Alaska, Nettie Dee Beard Harper of Thorndale, Betty Ralston Logan of Cedar Hill, and Keith Ralston of Humble. Mrs. Bennett and her husband Layton came the greatest distance and Layton was the oldest person present. Trey Robinson, son of Misti Lewis, was the youngest.
Next meeting will be Oct. 9, 2011 at the Senior Citizens Center in Thorndale.
A reunion is planned by the grandchildren and great- grandchildren of Elmore and Beatrice Lee Johnson.
Spokesperson Billy Johnson said the family is looking for descendants of the following family members:
Elmore Johnson and Beatrice Lee Johnson; George Johnson, brother of Elmore Johnson; Sherman Johnson, brother of Elmore Johnson; L.C. Johnson, brother of Elmore Johnson; Viola Johnson, sister of Elmore Johnson; Estelle Lee, sister of Beatrice Lee Johnson; Henry Lee, brother of Beatrice Lee Johnson.
