FREE TREES–Members of Alcoa’s Rockdale Operations gave away free trees to anyone who would take them at Rockdale Fair Park’s main entrance on Friday and Saturday. The giveaway was an effort through the company’s 10 Million Trees Program and in conjunction with the October Alcoa Foundation Month of Service. At left, Rockdale Operations public affairs specialist Aloma Clayton, Scott Smith with Crocker Reclamation and Rockdale Operations manager Jim Hodson distribute some of their 1,000 trees to this customer. Tree types given out included burr oak, cedar elm, live oak, shumard oak and red bud.
