Reminder that the annual reunion for former Milano ISD students is set for Saturday, Oct. 23 in the Milano High School cafeteria. A barbecue meal by The Crossing will be served at noon for $10 a plate. For more information, contact Carolyn Yoakum Vinton at 512455-2473 or carolynhafley@live. com. Items are still being sought for live and silent auctions. Proceeds go for mailing costs and scholarships.

Milano High School graduate Ann Hashem Kraft will also hold a book singing for her novel “The Opera Ghost Lives” beginning at 10 a.m.

I am so glad to hear of many MHS class reunions being set. This year the class of 1966 buried one of its own, Linda Leatherwood. We talk of reunions, gettogethers and such, but time gets away from us. No one can take our memories from us but to visit with classmates and recall our good and bad times is something special. We never realize how much until some are no longer with us.

Milano Athletic Booster Club is planning a chili supper for Friday, Oct. 22 before the football game. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in helping out in any way, contact Karen Gray at 979-777-3960 or karen@cunning hamrealestate.com. The Booster Club will also host a spaghetti supper on Friday, Nov. 5 before the last home football game.

Retakes of school pictures will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27. Check with your child’s campus for more information.

The city of Milano has set its trick-or-treat day for Saturday, Oct. 30. Milano High School will sponsor a trunk-or-treat event from 4-6 p.m. that day as well.
